Affiliate Disclosure
In compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 ("Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising") and the equivalent disclosure rules of other jurisdictions, Northmark provides this clear disclosure of our material business relationships.
How We Earn Money
Northmark is an independently owned forex broker comparison and review website. We earn revenue primarily through affiliate commissions. When you click on a link to a forex broker on our site and subsequently open and fund an account, we may receive:
- A one-time payment (CPA — Cost Per Acquisition)
- A revenue share on the broker's spreads from your trades
- A combination of both ("hybrid")
These commissions are paid by the broker, not by you. You pay the same fees and receive the same trading conditions as any other client of the broker.
How This Affects Our Content
We commit to the following editorial standards:
- Rankings are objective. Our broker rankings are based on a standardized scoring methodology covering regulation, fees, platforms, support, execution, and user feedback — never on commission rates.
- Some brokers we review pay nothing. We review brokers that do not have affiliate programs when we believe they are relevant to our readers.
- We do not accept payment for positive reviews. No broker can pay us to be ranked higher or to remove negative aspects from a review.
- We update our content based on facts, not commissions. If a broker's terms worsen, we say so, even if it reduces our revenue.
Specific Disclosures
When you click a "Visit broker", "Open account", or similar action button, you may be directed via an affiliate tracking link.
- XM Trading: We are an XM Partner. When you open an account via our links, we receive commission per the XM Partners agreement.
- Other brokers: We have similar relationships with several brokers. The relationship is disclosed on each individual broker review page.
Example Disclosure Statement on CTA Buttons
Throughout our site you will see disclosures near each affiliate call-to-action, such as:
- "(Sponsored)"
- "We may earn a commission"
- "Affiliate link"
This is intentional and required by law — it ensures you are informed every time you encounter a commercial link.
How to Verify Our Independence
If you have concerns about our editorial integrity:
- Compare our rankings with other independent comparison sites
- Read the actual broker terms on the broker's own site
- Check the regulator's official register (FCA, ASIC, CySEC) for the broker's status
Do Affiliate Commissions Affect You?
No. When you open an account via our affiliate link:
- You pay the same spread, commission, and fees as any other customer
- You receive the same bonuses (if eligible) as anyone else
- The broker pays us out of its own marketing budget
